About Mishkan Shaul
Kollel Mishkan Shaul consists of two divisions: the Day Kollel, and the Kollel Erev. From 8:00 in the morning until 6:30 in the evening, a group of 14 remarkable scholars make up the Day Kollel. With steadfast devotion, this group of educated men pours over holy texts, studying, debating, and absorbing the timeless messages of our people, full time.As night falls, the Kollel Erev arrives. From 8:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m., a larger group of 30 Kollel members fill the room, each spending the night engaged in Torah learning, either with a study partner or by leading a class of local businessmen.
Each Kollel member, in both the day and evening divisions, has been handpicked by Rabbi Levy and invited to join, due to his excellence in both intellectual ability and personal character.
Ezrat Esther Chesed Fund Of Mishkan Shaul
in memory of Esther (Tawil) Aboud A’H A Woman Who Never Stopped Giving
Esther passed away at age 44. Esther was all heart. She had a warm smile, a bubbly personality that put a person at ease, and she truly cared about people. Despite many challenges in life she always remained upbeat. Her great emunah was unshakable and this is a legacy that she and her husband Avi (he should live and be well) worked very hard to impart to their family. As a grand-daughter of Charlie Serouya A’H, In addition to her warm smile and deep Torah convictions what stood out the most was her tremendous chesed (kindness).Thousands of people have benefited from her work in establishing and running Hatzalah of the Jersey Shore together with her husband Avi Aboud… their dedication and selflessness is legendary. She never had anything negative to say about anyone. She was a beacon of happiness to all who encountered her. It is therefore fitting that, in her memory, we dedicate the Ezrat Esther Chesed Fund to distribute food, clothing and Shabbat and Holiday packages in Eretz Yisrael through Mishkan Shaul.
Day Kollel
The reputation of Kollel Mishkan Shaul proceeds itself. With a roster of current outstanding scholars, there is a waiting list to be accepted, filled with other prestigious Torah learners who wish to learn in such fine company, and under the unsurpassed tutelage of Rosh Kollel Rabbi Eliyahu Levy.
Evening Kollel
The Kollel Erev members are scholars in their own right who spend their days in a spectrum of full-time occupations, many of which are in Torah-related fields. The Kollel Erev members are Torah educators, rabbanim, and spiritual role models who all share a desire for completing their day in the beit medrash, immersed in serious Torah study.
